Mehariw Gelagay is a multidisciplinary professional whose career bridges healthcare, real estate, business, and higher education. Based in Portland, Oregon, Mehariw Gelagay is the owner and executive director of RoyalCare, Inc., a 24-hour residential care facility he has operated since 2020. overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of resident care.

Alongside his healthcare leadership, Mehariw Gelagay actively serves as a real estate broker licensed in Oregon and Washington. He provides real estate brokerage services, guiding clients through buy and sell transactions. In 2025, he ranked as a Top Producer by Oregon First and Washington First Properties. Building on his real estate brokerage practice, Mr. Gelagay is the CEO of Mehari Properties Inc., where he manages a portfolio of multi-unit and single-family homes, overseeing maintenance, tenant relations, and financials.

Additionally, Mr. Gelagay established a strong academic foundation and teaching experience. Previously, he served as a lecturer in marketing at the University of Gondar and taught business courses across several Ethiopian universities. He holds an MBA from the University of Gondar and a degree in marketing management from Adama University, where Mr. Gelagay was a gold medalist.
